Members Exhibiting at the 20-21 Open Art Exhibition, Scunthorpe

Congratulations to members, Jill Smith and Jackie Welton, who had their work selected for exhibition at the 20-21 Visual Arts Centre in their Open Art Exhibition, which runs until 30 January 2010.

Member Exhibiting at Art in the Bar, Trinity Arts Centre, Gainsborough

During November Artslinc founder and Chair, Fiona Hodges, currently had her ceramic work on show, and for sale, at the Trinity Arts Centre, Chapel Street, Gainsborough, Lincolnshire DN21 2AL, as part of the Art in the Bar exhibition series. The work consisted of hand-painted tableware, hand built sculptural bowls and plaques.

Members' Work for Sale in Epworth

Several ArtsLinc members, including Andy Housham, Pam Arrand, Fiona Hodges, Susan Hartlebury and Jill Smith, have their work at Epworth Gallery of Art in Epworth. Since opening earlier this year, the gallery has gone from strength to strength and has now moved to much larger premises at 6 High Street, Epworth, North Lincolnshire.

Members Successful at Doncaster Open Art Exhibition 2009

Congratulations to the following members who have had work selected for the current Doncaster Open Exhibition - Jackie Welton, John Phillips, Mike Hodges, Susan Hartlebury, Fiona Hodges. The exhibition ran from 26th October until 6th December 2009, at Doncaster Museum and Art Gallery, Chequer Road, Doncaster, DN1 2AE.

Thoresby Open Exhibition

Congratulation to ArtsLinc member, Jackie Welton, who has had her work selected for the Thoresby Open Exhibition. The exhibition takes place from 11th September to 12th October 2009. The gallery is at Thoresby Park, Nr Ollerton, Newark, Nottinghamshire, NG22 9EP

ArtsLinc Network Meeting and Speaker - 31st March 2009

The last meeting was held in Epworth on 31st March 2009. The subject of the meeting was how to make prints from your original artwork and the speak was ArtsLinc member, Mike Hodges. Mike has created an e-book about the presentation he gave and this is available here.

Members Successful at 20-21 Visual Arts Centre Open

We are very pleased to report that two of our members have been successful in getting work accepted for the 20-21 Open Art & Sculpture Exhibition. Andy Housham from Gainsborough and Joan Halliwell from Broughton have both had two artworks accepted. You can see them at the 20-21 Visual Arts Centre, Church Square, Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire DN15 6TB. The exhibition runs from Saturday 6th December 2008 until Saturday 28th February 2009.

ArtsLinc Network Meeting and Speaker - Tuesday, 25th November 2008

Lincolnshire artist, John Bangay, was the speaker at this event. John spoke about how to make a living from your work.

ArtsLinc Artists Network on BBC Radio (08/10/08)

The founder of the ArtsLinc Artists Network, Fiona Hodges, was recently interviewed by Steve Redgrave on the BBC Radio Humber Late Show. In the interview she talks about making a major career change to become an artist, organising the Isle Arts Showcase and her reasons for setting up the ArtsLinc network and her hopes for the future. Isle Arts Showcase (20-21 and 27-28 September 2008)

This was the first event organised by the ArtsLinc Artists Network to take part in Insight Open Studios Northern Lincolnshire. We were really pleased with the interest shown in this event. Just short of 400 visitors were delighted by the range and quality of work on display and interested to experience how the artists made their work..

Also you can enter your artwork in the Showdown competition. SHOWDOWN is for all registered Saatchi Online and Stuart artists to enter their works for visitors to score. The winner of the final head-to-head vote will receive £1000 and the runner up will receive £750. The winning work will go on display at the new Saatchi gallery.
