I believe you can and should follow your dreams, no matter your age. Two years ago, at the age of 43, I took a massive leap of faith. I left behind a comfortable and successful management career to become an artist. Now in my final year of a Fine Art degree at the University of Lincoln, I’m looking forward to great adventures in the future.
My work has already won prizes and been accepted for exhibition. I have organised the Isle Arts Showcase, as part of Insight Open Studios in 2008 and started the ArtsLinc Artists Network.
At this early stage in my art career I am still excitedly experimenting with ideas, techniques and media. After spending many years in jobs that limited my creativity, I refuse to be pinned down to one particular style or medium. Not yet, anyway.
So, what you see here is a small but eclectic sample of the art I produce. My work ranges from detailed portraits to striking abstract paintings, to funky ceramics, sculpture and textiles.
