| PREVIOUS EXHIBITIONS |
| The ArtsLinc Art & Craft Showcase. 19-20 September & 26-27 September 2009. |
| Isle Arts Showcase (20-21 & 27-28 September 2008) |
| This was the first
arts event organised by the ArtsLinc Artists Network, and was run as part of the
Insight Open Studios event throughout North and North East Lincolnshire,
now in its 8th year. More than 44 artists and 11 galleries took part in
the Insight event. Nearly 400 visitors were drawn to the event from as far afield as London, Newcastle, Derby and York, not to mention closer to home. Those attending were very impressed by the quality and range of art and craft available. They were also delighted that they could not only see artists at work, but also had the chance to try out some crafts for themselves, such as using a spinning wheel under the expert guidance of Joan Halliwell from Broughton and making felt egg cosies with Lillie Allen from Scunthorpe. On show was a wide range of art and craft and a very warm welcome from all the artists, many of whom were demonstrating how they make their work. |
